| Real Life PaintingMon 10th Dec, 2007I love my OMM picture that much (bottlebrush sunset) that i decided to do a real painting of it. (not that digital art isn't real) The painting is 80cm by 80cm, and is very far from finished. Hope you like it so far, i need my fellow artists help and advice because i dont have my art classes anymore for this :( The photo quality is a bit bad, the painting looks a bit different for real! What i miss most about OMM -being able to pick density -undo -playback feature! cheers, shanny. Comments & discussion:Shanna Muston Sat 15th Dec, 2007 Hi Mark, so far i have just used acrylics. I think it also looks brighter because of the contrasting. So far I haven't used anything for texture, and im not sure if i should chuck in some impasto or modelling compound, or something else. What do u guys think? Mark WatkinsonSat 15th Dec, 2007 Hey Shanna, fantastic painting, I love the colours you use on all your pictures. What did you use for the painting was it acrylics or oils as the colours are so bright? I must have a go sometime at painting in the 'real world' as so far all my stuff is on the OMM. Have a great Christmas. All the best Mark Shanna MustonFri 14th Dec, 2007 hehe thanks, yeah scince i finished school i was itching to get painting again and i couldn't think of anthing else, this just kept popping up in my head, so i was like well.. i just have to do it. I painted a bit more on it today, though its not enough to bother reposting a pic. Jo VickersFri 14th Dec, 2007 I love this! The style of your square was perfect to be translated into paint. It's so fun to see OMM spreading into the non-digital world too! You've inspired me to start a new project- have a look at my bulletin and see what you think!
