Thinking about some competitions?

So what can we do with the new gallery feature?I know lets have some monthly drawing competitions :)

This idea came partly from Cat's bulletin, but is also something Ive been thinking about for a while.At the moment Im arranging some prizes for winners (which will of course include full upgrades).We also need to put in some technology to allow people to nominate, and a way to track votes over a set period, but thats not too hard.

So the first monthly contest should be in August. Lets have some suggestions for themes!Here are my thoughts:

• Portraits; or
• Buildings; or maybe
• Animations

Anyone come up with something more inspiring?

Nice idea Pip, and the poster can be a prize too. We've also got deviantArt to donate a years dA subscription as a prize too. We're going to aim to run the first one in September once we tested the new pages.

How about also using the competition entries to form posters like the ones already offered on the shop page. Having your image used to endorse the whole project is a good feeling and I'm sure that it would elicit more entries from those of a not-so-competitive nature.
