International Juried American Artist. ------------------------------------- Growing up in the Appalachians you find things to keep you busy. "Poverty is the father of ingenuity" My earliest memories were drawing and painting. I am a natural fauvist in style. My painting technique is considered glazing. Very much the appearance of fine china in hand. I practiced day in and day out as a child. Painting became my escape. I won in all contests entered at grade and high school level. I have been painting 5 years now full time. As a hobby I enter several juried art competitions a year. Most competitions are International and I have places top three many times. These awards are posted on the blog that accompanies each painting on deviantART. I have been featured in many articles and publications on line. Now in print both magazine and book as a writer and artist. I am currently being represented by StudioMares Fine Art Salon and any further details may be found via the links above.
