I'd like to encourage people to change the colour of their background before they start their picture. The easiest way to do this is to select your colour and then use the largest brush tool.

We are working on a feature that will change the background colour even when you've draw on top of it, but for now you'll have to do it the old fashioned way.

It is a great shame that there are lonesome black square gaps in the middle of the round body of the current colourful new additions and drawings.

I recommend (even if you have NO BANANA of an idea what to scribble) after the very reasonable purchase of one's square - PLEASE just add a new bright background colour to show that it is occupied, 'cared for and wanted'.

GO ON . . .

Excellent advice. I'd also encourage anyone sitting next to a black square to fire over a message to your neighbour to try and stirr them in to action!! smiley

Don't think that anyone is reading this bloggette.

Any chance that the purchased squares could become white/a bright colour - other than black - by default. Still blank ready for drawing, but it means we won't have the gaps in the middle?

Seems a shame, that they're taken and look like they're not.

Sigh.

Please report neglected squares to the RSPS - to protect the sensitive issue of black, or not to be black after purchasing aforementioned lonesome blocks of emptiness.

All those in favour - nudge your neighbour and send them an encouraging and friendly message, right now.

I have - although it hasn't quite resulted in the desired effect - yet.

Ho hum.

You may have noticed that I have tried to entice the two people above me to show their square some love with some little messages that I had written on my square.....but it had no effect!smiley

I have now taken to copying (with a twist) the squares around me to see if I can influence anyone to alter their square or to make them follow a theme but....you guessed it.....no joy!smiley

Maybe the owners of all of the black squares are on holiday....or practicing using the tools before they show us what they can do...or maybe a black square is their statement and we are all missing their point!!!smiley

Hey that's excellent Laura, I love the way you've included your neighbours pictures. We did an email yesterday to all the black-squares which go rid of quite a few, but as you say some people might be on holiday!
