I'm working on making my picture like a photography I took: it can be found at my deviantart site... *links* http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/21304550/?qo=2&q=by%3Acrazcat&qh=boost%3Apopular+-in%3Ascraps *sorry.. loong http...* What do I need to do to get it closer? I know that the poofy orange things are too close to the pollen.. but it's a little late.... I'm thinking more colors and such.
What do you think? |

For what it's worth...
One of the things I love about a close-up is the blurred background. I see you've started it with blurred lines on the rear petal. I'd add some light very transparent pink with the big brush on the back petal.
As far as colors go, the back petal is cooler in the photo and the closer petals are warmer. You could always add some transparent orange and blue where appropriate.
The photo is very velvety. I think that the transparent layers with bigger brushes will help achieve the effect you're looking for. The base of the petals around the stamen could also be darkened with a slightly larger slightly transparent brush.
Your pic already looks great. Have fun with this - you have unlimited undos! |
