My name is Luca Oleastri, I'm a professional 3D artist and I'm also known as INNOVARI.
The nick 'INNOVARI' has been with me since I've seen the works of SYD MEAD on his wonderful book Sentinel (1979).
In the book there was an illustration of a prototype car named INNOVARI designed by Mead for U.S. Steel. The quote of the artwork said: "The 'Innovari' prototype was intended to be a catalogue of the many ways (a large proportion of them innovative) in which steel could be used to great advantage in a new era of design."
The words "new era of design" and the works of many Sci-Fi and Fantasy illustrators drove me to do my artworks during the years.
Also the word "innovari" is important for me. Is a Latin word that mean innovation/renewal, and it really represent me and my work in the illustration field and in the 'real world'.
On my INNOVARI website you can see a sort of image bank of my 'fantastic genre' illustrations.
I continue to use the name Innovari for my on-line persona as well as the 'nom de plume' for the artworks I've done ans sell. Currently I've been building my worlds in Bologna, Italy, where I share a home with my wife Raffaella and our cat Leeloo.
