My name is Emily. I live in the southern US. I grew up with my mom and dad, the latter of which has been literary to a fault. My dad was reading Tolkein to me before I knew what an exclamation point was. He encouraged me to read Shogun when I was in middle school and has passed on an avid love of Philip K. Dick’s science fiction. I’m also interested in art, which can be blamed on my mother. She was a great horsewoman, with her own boarding stable and private business when I was young. I always wanted to capture a horse on paper, which lead to attempts to capture other things, which lead to being mired in a ceramics coarse (and that will blessedly flip over to painting on the 28th). Even though she doesn’t own her own stable now, I’m leasing a quarter horse named Bud with her at Twin Creek.
So, right. Hi, that's me in a nutushell. It's challenging to type with one hand (my cat is going crazy for attention) so I'll leave now. |
