Can anyone else confirm a delay in the homepage load time? It seems to be taking a long time to load and I'd like to check that it's a general problem before going to work on it.

Yes. I noticed the same. Also Leaderboard page takes longer to load than anything else.
Probably due to database usage? Those pages are gathering data of most commented works and such....

The problem was related to inefficient database queries, causing excessive server load. I've added some look ups and revised some queries, so everything should be fine now.
