Dear Artists,
I am an author and I am in the midst of writing an illustrated novel. The novel is actually a collection of inter-related short stories aimed at a ages 10 through to adult. My plan is to fund the project via a kickstarter campaign where the short stories with illustrations will be serialized as E-books and then eventually in their full form in hard copy.
The illustrator will of course be paid once funding has been secured, though to get the funding I will need to create an attractive example of what backers will be getting for the kickstarter campaign, so the illustrations for the first short story would be on a deferred basis. Once funding is secured payment for the first short stories illustrations will be paid in full and payment for all subsequent illustrations will be paid for as they're produced.
Ideally I'm looking for someone who is comfortable drawing/painting in an impressionistic style and makes good use of contrast between light and dark. (The stories are all set in a wood, so this is quite important). If you are interested please PM me.
