Am I looking at the picture or is it looking at me?

Updated 05/12/06: Seems a few of the artists have changed their mind about their eye images.

Thanks Paul.
I often doodle eyes, without ever really knowing why. But the eyes in the OMM really stand out ( ...)and have certainly had a lot of thought and effort put into them. Seems like a favourite subject the world over. |

Me too, always the eyes first, against wisdom I've since learned. I must have draw 1000's of them, hollow, hurt, dissident, wanting.
I had been looking at buying some 3D models of them for close up shots.

I actually almost did an eye, but then I was all: "AHH!! Everyone's doing eyes!" I love doodling eyes. For a couple reasons:
1) They come most naturally to me 2) It's so easy to incorporate emotion into them. Fill them with tears and they're sad, adjust the pupil size or add more shines to create other things, and just the way the eyelid is shaped can do a lot.
but..yeah. I think we're all being watched by these never-sleeping eyes. haha...At least our picture can enjoy the watching the world as much as the world enjoys watching it! |

I almost always doodle eyes. I just started my picture with an eye, and it grew from there. |

I wonder what the most used eye color is for all these eyes. I was just thinking about this earlier today ;P |

i started with a doodle of an eye just testing the drawing program, but when i had most of my image done, i noticed there were eyes all around! XD. i was toolazy to change it so i just put into another context.

At the time i joined, there were green/blue eyes everywhere, but lately i've seen a lot of brown eyes...well that's my little observation |

Most of the eyes seem to be left eyes, also most of the portraits, if not central, show the left side of the face....I wonder if this is to do with being right or left handed. It has just crossed my mind that my angel is sitting with her left side visible to us.....I'm right handed..... |

That's a good point... as far as i know, right handed people can draw curves more fluently from left to right, which makes easier to draw the left side of the body , i guess At least, to me it works like that |
