~assuming that it's finished now, if you'd done your square differently, what would you have changed? if i hadn't deviated away from the "a is for apple" theme, my square would probably now be on "q is for queen." |

Heh, I may have stuck with the whole, flaming city thing, I kinda think about changing my picture further from time to time, but I haven't finished the novel that goes with this picture yet, I don't want to have to commit to a sequal just yet. |

I drew a picture of John Keats over my TOMM cat a while ago and was quite pleased with it until everyone I knew complained that TOMM was gone. So I hit the undo button a few thousand times and discovered my original pic. Keats is gone forever though, like one whose name is writ in water.
When I get the time I'm planning another pic of him though for my gallery . So I'm hoping for a slow day at work sometime soon.

I would've liked to do an animation, to tell an evolving story through my square here at OMM. That'd be fun, I think. |

Kirstie, I managed to dump him without grabbing a screenie. It wasn't finished, however, before I gave into the pressure to bring back TOMM. I will probably give it another go when I get some time, along with the other ideas I have to fill my gallery.
The pic was based on the sketch that Joseph Severn drew of Keats whilst suffering from TB in Rome. Have a look here.
I am a huge admirer of lots of Keats' work, and keep going back to it at different stages of my life and finding so much more each time. It is humbling to know that he died so young with such potential. |
