this will be my first post here, but I've fallen in love with this project already. I've gone through 3 or 4 themes already for my square, I think I've found the one I'll stick with. only problem...I dont draw humans very often. and even less often do I draw an actual person. the tools in the program are great, but I seem to plain out fail with them. XD any suggestions as to how I could fix his face up just a bit? any and all comments/critique is greatly appriciated, I truely believe con-crit is an artist's bread and water.
also, does that look like a croc to you? *LOL*
reason for me drawing a Steve Irwin tribute: my entire family followed Steve's adventure for years, finally we had found someone who could teach us in a way we could understand.
my understanding of this project is to make a picture of something that meant something to you, maybe conveying a message on the way. |

Hi Evee,
Great picture and its nice that you have made a square on a subject that is dear to your heart. You ask how to fix the face but it already seems pretty good to me.
Welcome to the project.
Best regards, Laura
ps - nice space monkey!

love your square! whenever I draw people, I always start off by breaking it down into a series of circles, so, for a head, I make the main skull shape a circle, place a line down the middle of it, so everything falls roughtly into line, and then mark in lines where the eyes nose and mouth should be and work from there instead of just guessing. Hope that helps. Have fun! |
