Many of them were probably done with a mouse- mind was! I've had years of practise on oekakis and the like (online flash drawing boards) |

This is the first time I have used flash and I found it incredibly unresponsive and difficult to use but like all things if your determined you will get the job done in the end. I always use the mouse when digital painting I just can't get to grips with drawing tablets! |

I'd like a tablet too. But mice are ok. At least lazer ones. This ball one over here sucks. Badly. Keeps skipping on me. Gah! |

It's all just a matter of practice, then again, if you've got practice with pencils and the like you'll find a tablet easier. Or at least, I definitively do. |

I've been trying to find a tablet too. I'm normally on a laptop though, so I'm normally using a touch pad that's overly-sensitive, and cramps my fingers. But oh well |

I use a mouse . I think I'd be able to draw better with a tablet but I dunno. They're pretty expensive... |

The tablet is definitely handy (heh heh - almost punny). I have shaky hands and can't use a mouse for the life of me!
Though it bears resemblance to a pen, it took a lot of getting used to at first. I had trouble controlling it. The sensitivities are all different, and... well... like someone said before... it's like a different medium. Definitely worth the investment if you plan on using it often. |

Yeah, it took me ages to get used to using the tablet - but I was generally pleased that it got easier as I used it more. Before that I used a mouse.
You can get some pretty cheap ones these days, unless you really want to go for a Wacom or something(in which case you'll be spilling out that wallet of yours). |

Tablet all the way! Getting a tablet for my birthday was the thing that led me into digital art. Im useless with a mouse for anything other than browsing. I adore my tablet, so much so that this year I shelled out a stupid amount of money to get the new Wacom Intutus 3 tablet. *hugs it tightly* Before that I had the Wacom Grafire from 1998. XD But the pen was dying on me. (I abused it badly while I was learning) and now Im looking to go professional so I upgraded. ^_^ I see works done by a mouse that leave me gasping at their amazingness, but Id never trade in my tablet. <3
Just my thoughts. ^_^ |

I wish i had a tablet, i'd probably even settle for a mouse at this point. I've been suing my touch pad on my laptop. I control it by using my pointer ont he bitton and my middle finger doing the movement. I get cramps in my middle finger and very limited ability. |

I wish I had a tablet, as well... this was my first attempt at drawing on my comp, and I don't even have a mouse. I'm using the touch-pad on my laptop. It was a bit difficult at first but it's going a little better now. Practice makes things better, I guess.
Still, I think a tablet would make for interesting images. |

IMHO, you don't really need a tablet unless you have health-related problems that prevent you from using a mouse... but it's definitely nice to have once you get used to it. The only thing I regret about using a tablet is the fact that I've lost all control over drawing with a mouse. |

I will admit, I am in love with my graphire 3 tablet. If it was a guy I'd marry it. However, my tablet is getting kinda weird so I had to use my touchpad(mouse) to make mine. It's not impossible to do amazing pieces with a mouse, it might just take longer, that's all. I have to say, my tablet definitely took getting used to. I think it's worth it though. |
