... What takes up all your time?
I've had to back off OMM because I'm in the middle of moving and making a quilt for a class (I'm no where near finished and it's due in two days! Moving is going worse ). But I plan to get back in the groove as soon as these next two weeks are over. So, I just thought I'd see what everyone else was up to.
(And I'm taking a break from sewing because I haven't really celebrated my birthday yet, and because I can!) |

well other than the random checking my messages of either email and managing my dA account, been catching up with my friends online and offline. hanging out with my cousin, renting out shit loads of movies but thankfully they only cost a dollar twenty five on tuesdays.. then i do my painting for my friend which i have pushed on for over a year now.. bad i know. and then i have the occasional interpreting or transalating for my family.. no one aims to learn english so i am there all the time at doc appointments and hospital appointments, form filling and writing letters.. |

Ah! That shows where my mind is. I was only thinking huge projects! But I'm glad y'all're going into more detail. It's much more interesting.
A year for a painting isn't bad... really... I've been MIA for about... um... 2.5 years on one. Working on it, but when your doing a piece based on someone with a lot more cred than you... and the commissioners want you to do it /better/... well... it's an interesting delima I've caught myself in. I've been procrastinating something awful.
I'd love to start photography, but I don't have a camera. But I'm getting one for my birthday! It just hasn't been ordered yet. I'm so excited!! I'm so bad at photography though. A good picture by me is one where there is no finger in the frame. Hehehe.
Now I want to go through my list of crap I do =P So... I will!: When I'm not in one of four classes (ugh, full load) I'm working on the quilt or doing homework. Printmaking and Women in the Arts are two classes that are kicking me in the butt. Even Milton isn't that bad. I've got four commissions and five requests on the back burner (lord help me) and two reading groups I go to. I'm doing handbells and aikido but they moved me from my favorite bells and we're doing jo (fighting stick) instead of actual aikido so that's all messed up. I'm also about to start training so I can teach classes. I just adopted a puppy... I get it in about a week (it's adorable!) and so that's going to be fun...
@_@. Ok. Writing it all out like that is scary. No wonder I've been neglecting OMM. |

That's cool! My aunt is trying to do the professional photographer thing and I know how hard it is. *nods* But with an in like that, it won't be no time before you're standing firm.
(Wow. I'm in rare form as far as my diction goes. Must be because it's five in the morning for me. ) |

Well, I really, really like sleeping... but when I have large projects I'm not sure how I do it. @_@. I'm about to go take a nap now though (had to leave for class, and now it's 2:25 pm. I think I'm starting to see things!) |

it is very interesting seeing people talk about time.. i mean i did that the other day but on notes.. it went somewhere on the lines of
"well i should go its time for bed, gotta work in morning, good night"
me "oh yeah its 1.45am now i should be off to bed too.. good morning"
"well its time for dinner.. i should be eating.. oh have a nice sleep"
me "wow im just having lunch.. amazing how time flies"
"oh well im back to bed. good night"
yeah its amazing how we continue to carry on conversation. |

Allison - is this a traditional quilt project? For what class? Sounds interesting
'' Ed and I are in our first week of classes. We're taking creative courses this semester as we've been pretty art-starved with the science and the math and the Geography, etc. We have a class on Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Photography. We're in the weird place where we're both self-taught on a number of things, so we're hoping that the computer classes will speed up a bit. Photography is Saturday morning, so we've yet to see the syllabus.
Other than school, I do marketing support for 45-50 hours a week. Ed is a full-time medical biller. Thinking back, neither of us remember saying we wanted our current jobs for careers when we were three, so that's why we're back in school on the side.
All extra time is devoted to projects we're working on, the OMM, and our cat (who is a very demanding furry little ninja of cuteness and destruction).

PC gaming (mostly Sonic), drawing (mostly Worms (the game)), and checking my e-mail on MSN every day. I ordered the Sonic t-shirt from Play.com on 29th December, and I've yet to get an e-mail from them saying 'Your order has been posted'. That's 3 weeks since I ordered it, that's why I check my e-mail every day. |

Sin-Mae: I've never thought about the time thing before! But that's true. Especially for me when I'm pulling all nighters or flip flopping my sleeping schedule. While my friend from around the globe are signing off for lunch I'm making coffee for people who will just be waking up in a bit It's so interesting to look back on things that seem normal and think, "That's really odd!"
Angeli: It's a project where we take a quilt pattern and then 'modernize' it. Mine is sorta different, taking the modern idea of quilt and turning it back to traditional but modernizing the past idea of traditional quilt. It's based on the Fibonacci sequence of numbers and the golden ratio and it's going to be really pretty. Well, I think it will. When I serge all the pieces together (it's a log cabin, foundation pieced without batting) I'll post pictures. Right now I only have one picture of me cutting and laying out squares on devArt in my scraps. Hehe.
Creative classes are awesome! I'm going to be taking about three painting classes next quarter along with Shakespeare so I'm definitely looking forward to that! I think it's great y'all are going back to do stuff you really want to do. It's awesome
Kenny: I hope you get your shirt! Perhaps email 'em and see if they're having ordering problems? It's no fun when that happens. ;P

It was temporarily out of stock when I ordered it, and it still is.
I'll never give up any hopes. |

Oooh... quilting!
Not that I can even sew, but I envy those who can. I'd like to see the quilt, for one! Maybe you can take a photo and scan the photo?
I know I'm not the only student on here. School takes up far too much time for my liking. Other than that, it's comics and role-playing. Oh, how I love my comic books... |

Thats thing about being at uni- theres so much spare time... Currently attempting to write a couple of plays for people around the place, luckily they're only short 20min ones, and the deadlines not for a good couple of weeks... But I can see those good couple off weeks becoming a good all-nighter before someone wants to read it... |
