Now that we are over the 20,000 milestone would it be possible to do a pie chart showing breakdown of countries participating to see just how much of the world we represent now? |

people would need to bear in mind the size of the UK in comparison to the USA...so lets not "compete" to who has most of the 1 million |

UK has 60 million people, USA has around 300 millions. Hmm, haha! If next thing you suggest is comparing EU to USA, bear in mind that EU has around 200 millions more.
Let's try to compete in the sense of inviting as many people as possible to this site, not in which country has the most. :P
But the pie chart would be cool! :D They probably cannot make it a realtime chart, because server load would be way too high, but at least a chart that would be updated once a week would be fun!
I don't think I would ever see a small line of Finland with our 99 people involved so far. :P |

Haha! You are a competitive lot. I was actually more interested in the unusual countries that have joined us Like a couple of Ethiopians I came across and I think 1 Fijian. Also think I found a Sudanese member. For those of you with a competitive nature answer this. There are 174 countries participating at the moment. How many countries are there in the world? |

I think there are around 190 countries in the world today (193?). I also would not trust those statistics on OMM for 100%, because there are many people who just choose random country when editing their profile. :) |

Hi T.J. Is that really all there are? Thought there were more somehow. I know the OMM is prob not that accurate just wanted the argumentative lot to find something else to compete over. Changing the subject somewhat, You Finns maybe small in number (approx 5 million)but you sure like to travel. We spent 18 months backpacking thru Europe and The Near Easr b.c. (before children) and met Finns virtually everywhere we went. Very friendly lot who drank vast quantities of vodka!!! |

Yes, many people like to travel over here, though, I personally haven't traveled much yet (I'd sure like to!). Backpacking through Europe for 18 months! That's really cool, I am gonna do that too one day. I would also want to visit some more exotic places and just hang out there for a while. Would be awesome. Haha! Unfortunately many Finns tend to consume too much alcohol. Alcohol drinks are also very expensive in Finland, so drinking while traveling abroad seems to be a common practice. ;)
By the way, I just did a search on "how many countries in the world" in Google and results are showing just what I said - around 190! |
