| Anything is possible!Thu 12th Jul, 2007I have always loved art but never been able to draw portraits or figures... so I decided to face my demons and attempt to draw a representation of my inner self when I'm at my happiest. To top it off, I am new to digital art too! Talk about taking challenges head on! I do believe that we have to do that in order to achieve in life and prove to ourselves that we can do it if we want to. Who else has found that they have impressed themselves with what they have achieved here by having ambition and drive? ;) Comments & discussion:Catherine Fri 20th Jul, 2007 I'm the same! I have never been any good at faces, I find the features really difficult to draw as it's all about shading to get the texture right. That's why I started with only half a face Ryan BauerFri 13th Jul, 2007 Yes, Carmella, I have honestly been impressed by the artwork I have accomplished here on OMM. I am not used to digital drawing, either, but this project has inspired me so much. It took months to find time and skill to put together my picture, but I did it and it is nothing short of the energy within my mind. I can see myself reflected in all of my hard work. Very important too, to me, has been the ongoing development of the size and scope of the One Million Masterpiece. I can't say how much the latest update reassures me that I will spend more time on here in the future, commenting and providing input for others within these bulletins. Paul FisherFri 13th Jul, 2007 I honestly believe this is one of the most supportive communities on the web! So many people ready to provide encouragement that gives people the confidence to develop. A great place I recon! Cat AThu 12th Jul, 2007 This is really amazing Carmella, I know how you feel, I was a newbie to digital art and could not think of what to draw but I am so pleased with the responses I have received from the OMM community, it really boosts your confidence as everyone is so supportive. Keep it up, it's brilliant. You must log-in to vote or post a comment |
