About Weeda Hamdan My paintings are a celebration of color. I strive to paint with a rhythm which results in layers of color until the surface has a buzz that makes the subject come alive. I like to experiment with the boundaries of color and texture. Through color, light and composition even the most common things and places can become more than their parts and much more than common. My paintings are intended to have a powerful impact on the viewer, both from afar and close up, just as nature and life do. Major influences on my work are Van Gogh, Matisse and the Fauvists, Degas, Mary Cassett, Kevin Mcpherson and Craig Nelson. Contact Information None available. More about Weeda Hamdan None available.
