About Chavah

It is my desire to let out the images that flood my mind. I’m a visual person which can sometimes be daunting as I’m attracted to all things colourful. Like a magpie I zoom in on anything that’s bright or shines. My mind will wonder and images of combined colours and random objects plague me until I unleash the image on paper or canvas. While I love that this is the way I create, the process can be exhausting leaving me sleepless for days until I’ve made the effort to share my views with the world. Allowing these thoughts and feelings to free-flow is how I work. My translations are colourful and contemporary. I consider my work a celebration of dreams and life.

This flower was on my mind right now so I figured I may as well use it for my picture. Pohutukawa is a native NZ tree that sprouts these stunning red brushlike flowers.
