About Shenaz Khimji

I am currently working on a primatological behavioual research project sponsored by CREES on wild Night Monkeys; the only true nocturnal primates of the New World. They are small (1kg), with beautiful large eyes and red- orange chests, they also hoot on the full moon. Night Monkeys have an unusual social structure, they live in breeding pairs with their infants who are cared for primarily by the males who play with and carry them on their backs. I am also working on writing and illustrating a children's book to promote Night Monkeys and their amazing habitat in order to promote and conserve them in our world.
