Hi to all fellow contributors,
I'm just a "normal" middle aged bloke (feel like I'm still 21) who came across this and just thought it was an excellent idea and something that I wanted to be a part of.
I've worked with computer systems most of my working life and am now trying a couple of entrepreneurial ventures, working for myself from home, because if I don't at least try I'll never know what might have been.
So at the moment, I'm poorer but happier!
I see this as my chance, and very likely the only way it'll ever happen, to be part of a great work of art. And it's a really worthy, well thought out cause too! The fact that there seem to be many other well intentioned people contributing is a real bonus.
I'm looking forward to seeing this develop and really take off. I'll be pointing as many people as I can in this direction.
Congratulations not only to those who came up with the concept, but to those who made it happen.
Best wishes to all. |

Welcome Alan!
I really like the fact that there are obviously some really good artists on here sitting right next to complete non-artists. It's amazing to see the different pictures you can produce using the same little drawing tool.
I guess it's not the outcome that matters - it's the taking part.
BTW your picture is great! |

From a a grey London, it is a welcome break in a day's work to switch back here and see the steady proress of new squares. Art and non-art contributers alike, I think some of the best are actually drawn by the younger counterparts (ie. the Kids - but don't tell them I called them that, v uncool of me).
I love the energy of the marks made and the colours used. Some of the cutest things are created.
I am guessing there is a 7 yr old in all of us . . .
Welcome and let's raise our Friday night beers to a large explosion of awareness of this site, to see many more squares come to life!
Cheers,
Jacqueline

Hi Alan,
Your post could have been written by me! I'm doing the exact same thing in life for the exact same reasons! Glad to be a part of this venture too.

Hi Alan
I'm a non-artist too ( but Hubby says I am because I have the right temperment lol ) and I guess he's right. Being an artist isn't about what you produce, it's about how you see things.
