Heh, my hair? ehhh, it would most likely have a negative effect on the world if I shaved my head. Just the reflection of the sunlight off of the uber-whiteness alone would probably blind most people instantly. I had considered shaving my head for a while, but seeing as how graduation is coming up in a few months, it might be a good idea to hold of on the razer for a little bit...
Anyways, how the counterstrike diet works (it doesn't HAVE to be counterstrike, just an addicting game): Rule 1: play on a computer that is as far away from the refrigerator as possible, You'll get too into the game that getting up and walking "all the way over to the kitchen" will seem like too much work.
Rule 2: Stay up late, or early technically. Since I had to get up at 5AM every day to go to school (my father is a teacher so we have to be there early) And since I stayed up so late (early, it was usually until 2AM) when I wake up, all I want to do is go back to sleep. The case used to be that I would wake up and make myself a 2lb pancake every day, and wolf it down before school. Now I'm too tired(lazy) to make a big breakfast, so I grab a granola bar and an orange to eat when I am more awake. (I also usually don't pack a lunch either) This way I'm not starving myself, I'm instead only eating a good amount of healthy food. (NO FAST FOOD!)
step 3: make sure you can get away with sleeping through most of the day (I have high-school, so sleeping through classes is no problem) Do your homework at the beginning of the day, rather than the night before, if at all possible.
step 4: limit stress, the reason you stay up late playing games instead of working on projects and what-not, is to limit stress, if everyone in the world procrastinates, then everyone is on time.
IF you follow these, you should be able to lose pounds like nothing. I didn't even notice I was losing weight until the third week in and 20 lbs lighter, people started to say that I looked thinner, I thought they were sucking up for some reason (I'm cynical, so sue me!) so I didn't notice until I actually weighed myself.
If you keep up this diet for 2-4 weeks, your desire to eat will slowly diminish, in fact, I found out that I can actually feel full after a sandwich, the strangest sensation for me. I can't even eat a full apple pie in one sitting anymore. Oh well, doing sports, like soccer, swimming, or martial arts also helps, but with my case, I end up gaining muscle weight faster than I lose fat weight, so if you want the scale to be lighter, just sit there like a bump on a log.
Tip: no junk food in the house, the saltiest things i had were mini-pretzels, and no dessert foods lying around either. Also, drink nonfat/ 2% milk, instead of soda, I had absolutely no soda.
Remember kids, its cool to sleep in school! (I'm getting A's, but if any of you start getting bad grades, don't blame me, do your homework!) |

Heehee! Counterstrike diet! I love it!
I ought to figure out a Myst diet. Every time you look at food, you'll end up looking for some kind of coded message in it. Then you'll write journal entries about it... with a fountain pen. After all that studying, speculating, diagram-drawing, and hard thought, you won't want to eat it anymore.
...and I'm sure none of you have any idea what I'm talking about. |

HEY ISAAC
THAT IS HILARIOUS. THE WILDEST DIET PLAN I HAVE EVER HEARD OF BUT IF IT WORKS USE IT. HEHEHE
A BIT SCARY ABOUT BEING FULL AFTER A SANDWICH. I REMEMBER BEING IN HIGHSCHOOL AND EATING FIFTEEN PANCAKES AND TWO BOWLS OF PEASOUP AND FEELING FINE.
YOU ARE DEFINITELY RIGHT ABOUT THE SODA THOUGH. THOSE FAST SUGARS ARE THE WORST. YOUR BODY GETS USE TO USING THEM INSTEAD OF STORED ENERGY IN YOUR BODY.
TAKE IT EASY
PEACE OUT JOE

Lol. I did the same thing with Final Fantasy 12.
D: I pulled a marathon spanning 3 days of almost none stop playing. D: Reasonnly had 42 hours to beat the game(which claimed to have at least 50 hours of game play.)
BTW: It's not possible to beat that game in one weekend and watch all the cut scenes. |

Brian - I did something like that, only it was with the Myst games. (I'm just a huge Myst fan, if it isn't clear.) Sure, you're starving by the end, but it's so satisfying when you beat a game in one day of playing. My reason: I was sick, so I guess I wouldn't have had much of an appetite anyway. |

Ahhh, myst, it took me quite a while to beat that game initially, but afterwards, I found I could beat the whole thing in under 2 minutes, never did get past Riven though, its on my to-do list. |

I have a friend that used to live in Oman so he can tell me all about the place ^_^ It would be great if i go there~ I'm not sure what you mean with "scientific thenories" so I can't really answer your question. Theres no need to dig through tons of information for me, you've helped enough ;3 Have a nice day! |

Hi Joe. Finally managed to get on here. Kept telling me "fatal error". Anyway how are you doing? Hows the studio building coming along? Have you finished yet? Have you still got no hair? Don't think I will be joining you somehow. I have reached the age where it is better to hide under as much of my hair as I can and I do have a lot to hide under. A mass of fair curly hair that has a life of its own! Never could manage the smooth sophisticated look. More the dragged thru a hedge backwards style! Did you take a picture of the sky in that painting you did? I must admit to a collection of photos of clouds. Especially at sunset. We live on the top of a hill and the view is amazing in the evening with all the beautiful colours as the sun goes down. My son spoilt it for me by pointing out that the colours are created by pollution in the atmosphere. Can't look at it in quite the same way anymore. It would be great if you could save your pennies to come over. You are more than welcome to stay with us. We have a very comfy sofa or a tent in the garden if you would prefer or in our newly sprayed V.W. My hubby has been working on it virtually every night to get it into shape for his V.W. shows. He sells awnings and accs for them. Checkout his website if you want. "fishbrain.biz" He gave up the job he had cos he was sick to death of being stuck in traffic jams on his way to one boring meeting after another. Now we are poorer but happier. I think you would love Cornwall. It has its horrid tourist areas but there are some wonderful unspoilt rugged areas of coastline and a history of smuggling and wrecking. They were a violent bunch in years gone by. There is still smuggling going on I am sure as the coastline is difficult to police properly even now with helicopters etc. We have had no rain in our area in nearly a month now so working has been really tough going. I am trying to put plants into concrete! A lot of Britain is suffering from drought already. The fields of wheat etc. have all turned orange and died and April is supposed to be a wet month. Don't know your views on global warming but in my line of work you notice changes in weather patterns very quickly. Does not bode well for the summer. We have lost a lot of trees in England because of the hot dry summer last year and now we will lose a lot more as April is the month they start to leaf up and need lots of water! May have to change my occupation at this rate as there will be no gardens left to do.
Bye for now
Moira

Isaac the diet sounds a little extreme but hey if it works can't be a bad thing tho' as a mother I would be on your case about the sleeping. Apparently with less than five hours sleep your brain becomes incapable of original thought. Not a good thing when you are studying. Make the most of being able to get away with so little sleep. The older you get the harder it gets. I used to do shift work in London. Go to work 5am finish 1pm. Go home sleep a couple of hours get up go out clubbing (with a bag of work clothes on me) catch the night bus at 4am go to work get changed and do my shift. Could not do that now. I think I would collapse!! |

Oh! on the subject of counterstrike... many people are familiar with things called clans; groups of individuals who play together, a loose team...
Well I ended up, unintentionally, breaking all the boudaries. I have invented "The Posse'"
Essentially it is a monstrocity that spawned from a bizarre fan following. So, I turned it into something a little more official (since so many people were naming themselves after my character) and created a yahoo group.
I'm pretty sure that there are a lot of people out there who play CSS, so if you want to know the "secret" tips, tactics, and tricks that I have taught a select few, feel free to join the movement, and increase the size of the family.
My main focus right now is englightening those who haven't had the time to figure out all of the advanced tricks to the game, so the new players will have a step up on their competition.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TheAtorPosse/
there's the link, I am warning you, I don't intend to be too serious about it, it was a goofy idea that somehow took flight, but I intend to stick with it until I get distracted by "the next big thing" |

HEY MOIRA.
IM OK. YEAH STUDIO… IN THE THICK OF THINGS. HEHEHE. STAYING TRUE TO THE EIGHTBALLMONKEYS SO....NO HAIR.
CHECKED OUT “FISHBRAIN.BIZ” SITE. VERY COOL. SEEMS LIKE A GOOD MOVE, TRAFFIC JAMS ALONE CAN DRIVE A PERSON TO INSANITY. HEY IS THAT YOU BESIDE THE PURPLE VAN WITH ALL THE STICKERS? JUST GUESSING BY THE HAIR DESCRIPTION. NOT SAYING YOUR HAIR LOOKS MESSY IN THAT PIC. HEHEHEHE. IF IT IS YOU AT ALL.
YEAH I DO HAVE A PIC OF THAT SKY OR ACTUALLY THREE TAPED TOGETHER AS A MAKESHIFT PANORAMA. YEAH ALSO GOT A HUGE IMAGE COLLECTION OF CLOUDS AND SKIES.
YEAH THE POLLUTION THING IS QUITE SAD BUT I GUESS THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT IT IS THAT IT CAN BE VERY SPECTACULAR AT TIMES.
THANKS FOR THE INVITE. WILL TAKE YOU GUYS UP ON THAT FOR SURE IF I MAKE IT. BEEN CHECKING OUT CORNWALL ON GOOGLE EARTH AND IT LOOKS VERY COOL. A LOT OF NICE PANORAMIO PICS.
HEY DID YOU CHECK OUT THE LINK I SENT YOU THAT SYSTEM COULD BE A SOLUTION TO THE DROUGHT IF PEOPLE WANT TO HAVE NICE GARDENS.
I FIGURE IT COULD BE INSTALLED IN ABOUT A DAY.
YEAH THIS YEAR IS PROBABLY GOING TO BE A DRY ONE OVER HERE TOO. UPRIVER THERE IS A BIG HYDRO DAM AND EVERY SPRING THEY OPEN THE GATES TO LET OUT THE MELT WATER. THE RIVER NORMALLY RISES ABOUT 3 FEET FOR ABOUT A WEEK. THIS YEAR IT DIDN’T HAPPEN SO I FIGURE THIS IS PROBABLY A BAD SIGN. HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE.

PEACE OUT JOE

Darn!!! Didn't even know that pic was on there. That was our van or rusty heap of junk before all the work was done on it and yes that is me. Hair is quite well behaved in that one. Obviously wasn't windy.
When do you think you will have the studio done and how far have you got with it?
Have you sun burnt your head at all? I hope you have been using the sunscreen. Nothing funnier than a bright red baldy! Well yes there is a peeling sun burnt baldy.
I did check the link and have passed it onto a friend who asked me last year if I knew anyone who did recycled water systems. I have also mentioned it to some of my clients who have dry gardens. Would be no good to me as I have a terraced garden that is quite small. I don't think I have anywhere suitable in mine but I listened to the reports on global warming when I planned it and all my plants are drought tolerant, positioned in the right place and I mulch my soil twice a year. At the moment my garden is ok unlike some of my customers who's plants are dying and their ground is like concrete. We had no rain at all last month and it still hasn't rained although they have said next week we may have the odd shower. I was listening to a report on the radio this morning about Perth. They are now using ancient water there. They are so low on rainfall it may be the first modern city to become a ghost town. The rich people there (mainly Brits!) were still using sprinklers on their lawns and their rose gardens. Why on earth they wanted to grow British style in a country where they could grow the indigenous exotics is beyond me. The government still won't ration the water or stop them wasting it. So ludicrous. They will have luscious lawns and nothing to drink. Sorry on my soapbox again. I still don't think people fully realise how much things are going to change over the next few decades. Scares me to death! This planet would be far better off without us on it. Maybe this is natures revenge. I think we may well end up disappearing just like the dinosaurs.

HEHEHE AH WELL...BUT IT WAS NOT A BAD PIC.
STUDIO WILL TAKE A WHILE BUT IT IS COMING ALONG.
HEAD STILL OK NO BURNS YET. HEHEHEHE. SCARY ABOUT PERTH. SOME PEOPLE JUST CANT SEE IT UNTIL IT IS TO LATE. YOU ARE RIGHT ABOUT TYPES OF PLANTS. THE EXOTIC STUFF IS SO COOL TO.
IM LUCKY I HAVE UNLIMITED WATER. BUT I DONT USE IT TO MUCH BECAUSE I STILL HAVE TO PUMP IT. THERE IS ALSO A TINY CREEK THAT RUNS ACROSS THE PROPERTY ON BOTH SIDES OF THE HOUSE. IT RUNS MOST OF THE YEAR BUT DURING HOT DRY SPELLS IT WILL STOP. SO THE GROUND IS FAIRLY SATURATED MOST OF THE TIME.
I DONT REALLY KNOW THAT MUCH ABOUT PLANTS AND STUFF. LUCKY MOST OF THE TIME WHEN I PLANT STUFF, IT GROWS. SOIL IS PROBABLY FAIRLY DECENT.
IT WAS FUN SEEING THE VW. HAD A COUPLE WHEN I WAS A KID AND THEY JUST KEPT ON GOING FOREVER. STILL FONDLY REMEMBER THE DISTINCT SOUND AND VIBRATIONS OF THE ENGINE.
TALK TO YOU SOONER
PEACE OUT JOE
