I was wondering about the possibility of having blogs here on the site... I'm fairly certain a few of us are bloggers.
Also, I was wondering- what would become of the community after the project had run it's course? |

My thoughts about blogs are that perhaps there are other sites that already do them too well? maybe we could extend the profile a bit to allow people to most messages and replies to comments without a full blow blog function?
I think we're all going to have to see how the community develops and decide what should happen after the picture is finished. maybe we'll keep growing it, or maybe we can apply ourselves as a community to a new collaboration - something different! |

This project started from scratch and it is already gathering plenty of momentum. So it is staggering to think what might happen after this with a community of a million generous and creative people behind it from the beginning. |

If people are blogging in one place already then theres not much point to move, but perhaps if we just room for multiple links in our profile - blog, website and art profile, all optional of course, but then it lets people have a good wide view of the person.

My vote is for the multiple link section too. I have a few links that I'd like to add |

Yes yes, multiple links would be very good. |

I agree, a space for multiple links would rock.

Yes, I see your point... It'd be hard to compete with places like Livejournal. Though I do have another suggestion- allowing for paragraphs to be placed in the profile section, and an "extended view" tab for profiles that run a bit long and stretch the page out. IMO it's not very useful but it'd make for a neater appearance, at the very least.

I love the idea of a new collaboration. Closer to the finish date, I think a "suggestion thread" for a new project would be a cool idea.

It is, isn't it? Though TBH, I don't think we'll get everyone active on the messageboard... It would appear we're got a core group of active posters at the moment, however, and probably quite a few lurkers as well. The comment boards on most works are quite active... it's difficult to say how many people will still be around, and how many new "faces" will have emerged when the project is finished.

I agree with those in support of multiple links. As far as what will ahppen in the end, it would be nice to just keep it going if it could remain profitable for the charities and sopported well enough by sponsors. This is such a creative and good project. I'd like to see it around for a long time. |

I see what you mean. I still think that there will be a huge number of people interested in further projects when this is done. Having all become record breakers and exhibited artists will provide a lot of motivation for people to stay with the OMM community. I can't wait |
