I've always wanted a tablet. I'll have to ask for one on 7/7/07 (my birthday). Anyway, this is the "masterpiece" that I produced just using a plain, ol' mouse. |

I'm a regular mouse user, (yay) and in fact my mouse is pretty old. I actually realised half way through doing my piece that the reason it wa sso jerky was because there was an unbelievable amount of dust blocking it, atracted I assume by the static. So, helpful hint for anyone suffering from the same problem: take out the back pannel and the ball and rub it (hard) with a duster. Anyway, away from being sidetracked, some of these mouse drawings are amazing. I really wanted to use a tablet pen for detail (like my friend has, *sigh* but I have very little stuff for my computer aside from The Sims 2...) and I got very frustrated, but I am happy with my final piece. Has anyone else had a problem that occasionally the paint tool gets locked and whenever I move my mouse, it paints? |

my pic is all mouse, i think i had an easier time with the old software they had on the website that showed where the mouse was, but i found if you zoom in with the new stuff its a lot easier to get some detail in with the mouse or actualy be able to see where it is if your working with low density colors. Im amazed by the people who sketch out their drawings with a mouse as they would w/ paper and pencil, i wish i had that much control over my mouse...i just tend to get fed up and throw it. |

Combine the system's zoom with IE's zoom or Opera's zoom, and you can get even more detail in there.
:D Or at least thats how I did it. |

yes iv been playing around with the zoom, it's a really good feature, you can get in really close if you whack up the zoom on your browser too indeed! just that when you try and draw a line it's really pixelated and zigzagged hehe oh well, still impressive results i think! |

well some people are missing out by not showing off their special talents so i've taken the liberty of finding a few and posting them here myself - aren't I nice! I know they are proud of themselves or else they wouldnt have made the point of using a mouse on their profiles in the 1st place there is nothing wrong with that AT ALL! so check these out!:

That's a nice idea of posting them yourself Cat they are pretty amazing i have to agree, and it's funny that they all mentioned having used a mouse hehe... that's what makes this a good forum i think.
Morgan, omg you doing that with a mouse is putting a lot of these to shame unfortunately! it's AMAZING, looks like a photo!??

I used a mouse too, an optical one. I own a tablet but at the time I was too damn lazy to install one. I would like to give this a go with a tablet, but I'm too cheap to upgrade my account, apparently, and I don't really feel like replacing my current one. |
