Oh, it appears I'm a bit too late! Any space available? I would like being a part of this collab, as well. Must have missed the email- apologies, I don't know if my spam filter sent it into the wrong folder or if I deleted it by mistake, but it was missed somewhere because I have a PM in my inbox. What's the new project? *reads back in topic*...
[changed my name, btw. ]

I am back! Did you miss me? (thats me in my sunglasses on holiday) Love the fireworks and have joined on. Skaii join to whatever is next to you. There is no overall picture to copy. I still have not heard from Paul so might check if Eamonn is back and see if he can start moving us together. |

Cool! I'll be joining in the theme this weekend.
I wish the message board was more active... it's so quiet here! |

It should get a little more active now Skaii as both Mark and myself were on holiday. Has anyone heard anything from Paul? Did anyone else Pm him? I have now pm'd Eamonn so hopefully we will soon be moved together. It is so frustrating looking at all of Marks fireworks right over the other side of the board. He seems to be having so much fun!!! |

I've sent Paul a message too, Aunty M. In the meantime, could we not use the swap squares feature? I can't remember where I read about it, but I think if you request a swap, the other person has a limited amount of time to reply before it happens automatically. Do you have to be a donor to swap? Love your fireworks, Mark- very impressive display! Any thoughts on the next project? |

Could everyone check where they are and add on please. Lets see if we can finally produce a whole picture.
Yes Mark. As Jo asked, what are we going to do next? Better make it good! |

I have sent a message to everyone who has been moved to join in and on. If your neighbour does not change in the near future could you start poking them (virtually) to do so. If after a week or so there is no response I will try and move us around again until we get a complete picture...heres hoping things move along this time! |

wooo great work on the moves etc. guys. I have officially handed in all of my assessment for my first year of uni and now have 3 months holiday! i have no excuses now. will get to fireworks straight away. When does the big collab finish? im wondering does anyone know what sort of guidline we really have until our final and last picture will be taken? and so if we have a guidline for that, then we can know how many mini collab type things we can do in the mean time until we all decide on the final pic. i hope that makes sense to everyone? |

Hi everyone, I'll try and think of a picture to do next but happy to go with anything anyone suggests if they have any ideas. I'm away this weekend so will be back next week. It would be good if we found something which has an interesting section for everyone so nobody gets stuck with a boring piece to work on. A winter theme would be good, I was thinking a snow scene so that we could put people in every square e.g. ice skaters, snow ball fights, building snowmen etc. It would be good to have a reference picture though, any thoughts? Well done to Aunty M and Jo for getting this moving again and congrats Shanna on completing all the work for your first year assessment, enjoy the time off. |

Sarah Edwards wrote: I just came back from representing Lithuania in a Model United Nations Conference Just noticed this Sarah...Wow! Sounds really interesting. How did you get involved in that? Congrats from me too Shanna although three months sounds like far too much time off, sure there must be some chores or something you need to do. No idea how long we have to produce a final picture. Was there a time scale? I only came into the collab near the end so missed most of the early discussions. Winter scene sounds good to me Mark. Would mean a nice seasonal picture in time for Christmas. I have no idea what so will leave that decison to everyone else plus I did suggest Monet so I will back off a bit now. I am happy just being the bossy one who nags if the squares are not done. Comes naturally at my age PS....I love looking at our fireworks display. Even though it is not totally finished it looks so cool!

Just a school thing, not as important as it sounds It would be nice to make world altering decisions for a bit though...
Hmm, I wonder, do we actually have anyone from Lithuania on the OMM?
Winter sounds good and it makes sense this time of year. But I agree, the fireworks display looks really good! |

I just checked and apparently there are 48 people from Lithuania. There's even two from Liechtenstein, although none from the Vatican which really would be an achievement. Perhaps that should be our goal - get the Pope on the OMM |

We have two more. Peno is back with us and Nina Dalsegg has joined us. With any luck a couple of others will join us too. Sarah you aim high lol! The pope would be good. Does anyone has a hotline to the vatican?! |

Welcome to everyone! =)
I agree with Mark that using a reference picture is a good idea, I think it makes the picture more coherent and is more easily noticed as a whole. It has the problem of having potentially dull squares though, so we'd need to choose carefully. I loved the Monet as it was instantly recognisable- could we find a winter theme with the same impact? There are some beautiful landscapes online, but most have the problem of lots of sky/snow.
I think we need a brainstorming session! If everyone posted a couple of ideas or points that we want to include/avoid it might help us get moving again. The fireworks are looking great though, the quick in-between projects seem to work really well! |

Lets try to make it a busy picture so everyone has a lot to do, and if that doesn't work then we can try to find one which can just be interpreted in more ways so people still have the freedom to do what they like. Afterall, it is meant to have an individual stamp on it otherwise the whole point of the OMM is being ignored. |
