| I think the tree is a nice image and would be very striking, but it would be difficult to expand when newcomers arrive. The pictures that contine off every edge of the image could be added to whenever people felt like it. I like the idea that the big collab could take on a life of its own when people start swapping squares- I think more people will join in when it's more spontaneous! |

Just wanted to let you know Mark W, I am one of those who have been chosen for the calendar..I actually had 2 pieces chosen and wasn't even aware of the second one until a couple of days later and also was so busy with my jobs that I didn't even realize the selection process was happening...my how time flies...anyway, it came as a complete, utterly joyful surprise. |

Jeanne, well done on making the calendar with 2 pics, still love your wave picture and glad it is in the calendar, I have ordered my copy.
So far I have noticed that the following people want to join the Big Collab and are waiting to be moved, does anyone know of anyone else who is waiting to move or wants to join?

Hate to change my vote late in the game, but Joe's post is very convincing. I think that a variant of the original map design would allow us the room we need to grow. We'd have a seamless image with a unifying theme and the ability to change our image as we'd like. If you start a tree in my square, I can finish it. If I draw the sears tower, vice versa. I like Joe's idea of picking a country (or even a city, or a made-up utopian landmark) and running with it.

I got my calendar yesterday and on the back is a picture of the whole OMM as it currently stands, the Big Collab squares are clearly visible as a black square with a yellow border, cool. 
Lots of new ideas floating around for the Big Collab picture but I am going to wait until Gracie has some time to have a look at where we are. With the run up to Christmas I can't see much happening until next year but it will be a great way to kick off 2008. Have a great Christmas break everyone. Cheers Mark

Yeah, guys, Sorry but the holidays are giving me a whomping! I think maybe you're right, Angeli... but hey, what does everyone else think of that? I mean if we want to change the direction that's fine... we should get started soon, however. We still have people who haven't replied or voted yet... where are you guys? Why don't we set final decision for January 1st, and that's when we'll begin the big picture. Anyone who hasn't voted or given imput by then will simply by silence agree to go along with what the rest of the group has decided

Hi Gracie and everyone else
So I am here then. Got myself a nice comfy black square with a few grey and yellow bits on one edge...lovely. I don't know if us newbies are expected to vote at all but if I am can i just say I am fine with anything as long as I get an easy bit!!!! |
